Steven B. Dodge got his first business experience as VP in charge of motion picture and cable television lending at Bank of Boston. He started in 1971 and had built the largest, most successful CATV portfolio of any national bank before leaving the company in 1978.
After leaving Bank of Boston, Steven B. Dodge decided to found American CableSystems Corporation. Although it was his first business, ACS grew rapidly under Dodge;s direction as CEO, leading shareholder, and founder. Over the next decade, ACS became a top 20 cable television company. American RadioSystems merged with CBS Radio in 1998.
